Victor Santana, born in 1991 in Brasília, Brazil, completed his Master's degree in Performance in 2017 at the prestigious Hochschule für Musik "Hanns Eisler" in Berlin, under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Daniel Göritz.
Currently, Santana dedicates his time to arranging and playing music for guitar and many different ensembles. For example, he has arranged works by Heitor Villa-Lobos (Arias of Bachianas n2, n4, n5, for guitar/cello, Choros n5, 2 guitars, Black Swan, guitar/viola), Franz Schubert (Die Schöne Müllerin, 2 guitars/tenor), Sergei Rachmaninoff (Vocalise, guit/cello), and Johann Sebastian Bach(Arias from cantatas, 2 guitars/soprano).
Santana earned his Bachelor's degree in 2013 from the University of Brasília, and throughout his Bachelor’s years, he has received several notable awards, including first place at the "Música no Museu in 2012" competition in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where he became the first guitarist in a mix for all instruments competition, ever to win the 1st prize. During this time, he performed solo concerts in several cities and recorded various interviews on Brazilian television channels such as TV Senado, TV Câmara, and TV Justiça.
His debut album “Guitar Recital”, released in 2014 in Brazil and available since 2024 on Spotify, features compositions by Mauro Giuliani, Heitor Villa-Lobos, Leo Brouwer, and Radamés Gnatalli.
In 2015 he made his debut as a soloist with the Symphonic Orchestra of Brasilia, being the youngest guitarist ever to perform with the Orchestra, playing the Guitar Concerto for Guitar and Small Orchestra by Heitor Villa-Lobos (1887–1959).
Living in Berlin since 2015, besides his artistic activities, Victor Santana teaches in 2 Music Schools; since 2016 at the Johann Sebastian Bach in Potsdam, and since 2024, at the Fanny Hensel in Berlin.
